Uruguayn Amethyst

This relatively flat display piece of Uruguayn Amethyst shows the lovely deep color and small crystals typical of this source. As Uruguayn Amethyst goes, it is relatively low grade (the color could be even deeper), yet it still compares very favorably to most amethyst from Brazil.
