Yemen Kuwait Bank has conducted an honoring ceremony in Sheba Hotel for the bank agents in transferring humanitarian assistance across Yemen.
During the meeting, Mr. Abdulmalik Al-Thour – General Manager, Yemen Kuwait Bank has appraised the strong and close relation between the bank and its agents, appreciating their high readiness to implement the social cash transfer projects in accordance with the bank instructions related to guidelines of humanitarian works during emergencies. These efforts has contributed in supporting 18 government fund and local and international humanitarian organizations in delivering humanitarian and social assistance to 300K beneficiary across Yemen.
Al-Thour has urged other humanitarian organizations working in Yemen to benefit from the bank capabilities and readiness to support organizations working in the humanitarian and development sector through a wide network of 4,200 agent, 900 mobile team, and sophisticated technical system, capable of delivering more than 150k cash assistance per day.
Al-Thour has also stressed on the bank efforts in keeping in track on the latest technolgies and supporting the work of NGOs in Yemen by establishing the first specialized company in disbursement of humanitarian assistance, providing technical support to NGOs, linking them to financial institutions and providing mobile payment teams in all areas including conflict and remote areas and islands.
At the end of the ceremony that attended by Mr. Ghassan Al-Amari, vice general manager- YKB, Dr. Nabeel Al-Hadha, president of Yemeni Exchangers Association, general managers of Swaid and sons exchange Co., Alahda Exchange Co., Alakwaa Exchange Co., Alnajm Exchange Co., Alnaser Exchange Co., Almorisi Exchange Co. Alsaifi Exchange Co., Almontab Exchange Co., Alhawshabi Exchange Co., And YFoundation and number of department managers and heads of units, the distinguished agents and social cash transfer service team have been honored for their role in providing a social service according to the humanitarian and international standards in the aspect.
