I never forget a face,
As far back as I can trace,
I always forget names,
I don't ever remember names,
I never keep a neighbour's name,
My wife says, " What a shame ! "
That strange memory of mine,
Helps my own business be fine,
In a moment I connect a face with a place,
Business goes on , that's just the case ,
Strangely enough, once I couldn't remember,
That face of the train passenger ,
That ugly face seemed to me familiar,
To the extent that I got closer,
I wanted to speak, but he was too weak,
To answer me or to stay awake,
When we got to our destination,
I woke him up kindly at our station,
It was blowing like the end of the world,
The rain was pouring, that's why I pitied
and offered him a lift, he gave his consent,
That wasn't his plan, but I only helped,
Across the open country and almost halfway,
He wanted to get out and refused to stay ,
He hit me hard on the head ,
And I instantly fainted ,
Did he pull me out of the car? Yes, he did.
He robbed me of my money, gold watch,
Umbrella, car and everything which ,
I had with me and left me in a ditch ,
"Wanted for robbery with violence and attempted murder."
These were the words written under his picture ,
On the police station walls, his picture always lies,
Never trust your memory, it sometimes lies ,
For being kind-hearted, that was the prize .
