The effectiveness of this system is largely dependent on dietary conditions and it can be adversely affected by an inadequate supply of nutrients. Under commercial conditions, birds are usually exposed to a wide variety of stress factors which might alter the requirements for nutrients.
It is clear that a well-fed animal is immunologically more competent than a poorly fed animal. Nutrition and nutritional status have direct effects on the immunocompetence of birds and their resistance to infectious diseases.
Nutritional imbalances (particularly nutrient deficiencies) are more deleterious to the immune system early in life when the immune system is rapidly expanding.
On the other hand, immune responses caused by infectious challenges or other stressors can affect nutrient metabolism/requirements, growth rate, and reproductive efficiency of birds.
Does immune system enhancement have any place in your poultry farm's ration formula? If so, do you follow the commercial manual of your flock or do you act following your previous experiences?
Do you think that the nutritional approach is adequate to deal effectively with the immune system of your birds - particularly fast growing broilers? Let's share our experiences here.
Immunesystem cannot always rely on feed, but is definately strongly supported by nutrients. Indeed stressors like infectious challenges cause additional specific nutrient requirement, which cannot be supported by feed alone, as birds simply need more but eat less!
As such supplying the right nutrients via drinking water is a good solution. Birds always drink, also when they are sick!
On this basis we developed our Nutriforte Poultry, a nutritional drinking water supplement, which is continuously dosed.
See in our brochure the fantastic results with broiler performance.

In my opinion immune sysetem is strongly related to good ingredient and excellent nutrition but research finds that the chemical and synthetic material cause damage immune system. i think we have to enhance immune system of chicken by natural material such as propolis of bee and a lot of herbal medicine that enhanced immunity.
Of course, good nutrition goes a long way to enhance the immunocompetence of birds. However, it sometimes occurs that poor biosecurity measures and other forms of carelessness (especially by the small holding farmer) exposes the poultry flock to such overwhelming field challenge that their immune status can not cope with. While it has its own merit, disease prevention goes beyond immune system enhancement. A holistic approach is most desirable.
poultry are exposed to many stress factors. vit E.&C can effect on the immunocompetence of birds.
