A dream comes true

One day there was an old man who dreamt of having a child. His honest neighbor gave him a piece of advice.

Jack: I really feel lonely. I am an old man. As you know, my wife had died from a long time ago. She left me with no children. Unfortunately, we didn’t get any children. Now I am longing to have a child. It is my only wish before I die but how come my dream can come true. I wish Allah would grant me my wish in this old age. I actually aspire to have a child.

Ahmed: What would you do if I find a solution to your problem. I think that it’s pretty simple. You can go to any orphanage and adopt a child and you can bring him up and teach him all the principles you want. Just you need to show some documents. So they would understand that you are serious.

Jack: Oh! Ahmed. I am so grateful to you. You came up with a great idea. It never came to my mind. I thought it’s impossible to achieve my dream.

Jack went the orphanage to choose a child. He interviewed many children until he finally felt attached to one of the boys. The boy’s file showed that he is a little bit naughty but Jack decided to take him .

Tom: Dad, I want to have some fun. You have to get for me a lot of toys and clothes.

Jack: This is not a polite talk. You don’t have to order your father.

I want to tell you that you have to be polite and you have to stick to the principles of our religion. If you behave correctly, you will gain the respect of all the people.

Tom: Okay Dad, I will do my best to be a good boy.

Jack: Now you need to sleep early to go to school from tomorrow. I expect you to behave well at school.

Tom  went to school but he made a trouble on the first day and the principal called his father and told him about what happened.

Jack: Why did you behave in such way, Tom?

Tom: I am sorry, dad. I only wanted to joke with my friend but he fell on the ground.  Then I argued with my teacher about the matter.

Jack: You were mistaken, Tom. You shouldn’t have done that. I am really angry. You promised to behave well but you didn’t keep your promise.

Tom: I promise not to do it again.

Jack:  I hope you realized your mistake. Go and do your homework

Tom: How are you, Yasser?

Yasser: Fine, Tom. What about going to the circus instead of going to school? We can watch a very nice show.

Tom: I am afraid that my dad would shout at me. I think that it’s not correct to evade from the school and lie to my father.

Yasser: Don’t worry. It’s not a big issue as you think. We have to enjoy ourselves. Our fathers and teachers always give us orders. There is no point in doing all what they say.

Tom: I am eager to come. Ok. Let’s go but we have to return by school time.

An honest man appears to Tom.

Honest man: You shouldn’t lie, Tom. It is forbidden. You don’t only deceive your father but you disobey your creator. You have to repent.

Tom: Oh. What a shame. I wish my father wouldn’t know.

Unfortunately, one of the neighbour saw Tom and told Jack

Jack: I am so sad about what you did. I never thought that you would misbehave in such a way. I wished to have a good child to make me happy in this life. I always buy to you all what you want but I see that you are ungrateful and you break all the rules.  Anyway, If you misbehave again, I will be obliged to take you again to the orphanage.

Honest man: Tom, you still have your last chance to prove that you are a good boy. I will tell you what you should do. You have to do something good to regain the trust of your father. One more chance, don’t forget or you will lose everything. Allah will never forgive you if you make your father angry.

Teacher: You are excellent today, Tom. I am glad that you have become so polite and you studied all your lessons.

Tom: Thank you, Teacher. I do apologize for my previous ways and I wish you would report my current situation to my father.

The principal contacted Jack and told him about the remarkable change in Tom’s character. Jack has a warm talk with his son.

Jack: I am so glad, Tom. Finally, you got to know the right way. I won’t leave you alone. I will always guide you  and I will be more patient until you become a perfect boy. Now, I can trust you. Even if you make a mistake, I will correct you until you become an adult. I have also to be a good father.

Tom: (hugging his father). I promise to be the child you want. You are so kind.
