A society in the turmoil!
To where is Egypt going? It is an amazing question. Actually, Egyptians, or most of them, feel frustrated 2 years after the revolution of January 25th 2011, why? Due to the great decrease of respect of freedoms and regression of whished democracy. What else? Economic situation in Egypt is in a difficult phase due to continuous political instability and increased civil strikes in many Egyptian provinces. Data indicate stopping production, closing 4550 factories, increased unemployment rate, public budget deficit, increased poverty rate, and rise of crime in the Egyptian society. Societal contexts affected economic structure. This led to a loss of 320 billion Egyptian pounds - about 46 billion dollars – firing more than 900.000 workers and suppressing 85 % of tourist reservations for 2013 and regression of foreign investments.
Among the odious phenomena that we notice in Egypt are the serious trends to marginalize women and make her return to the era of harem. However, the woman is the mother, the martyr and the leader who proved her competence in various functions she assumed. Violence against woman took many forms like harassment, excision, human trade and marriage of minors (82 % of women are liable to societal violence and 54 % to familial violence), in addition to hundreds of girls which are liable to human trade with official marriage certificates.
Unfortunately, no place in Egypt is far from vandal incidents, armed rubbery, violence, murder, forced steeling, kidnapping with claiming for a ransom. The language of force and weapon replaced dialogue, reasoning, logic or legal ways to solve problems and conflicts. Vandal phenomena and criminal capacities are the only way to solve problems. The prestige of the state is lost, insecurity is widespread, criminals thought they are beyond law and continue to impose their conditions on the society.
Security and economy are two essential elements for stability of the society, supporting progress and development. Therefore, why do we live in this chaos since the revolution? Without any doubt, there is instability in political structure. There is no consensus, respect of freedom, livelihood and social justice. Wishes youth of the revolution launched. The unavoidable result is the dark atmosphere in which we are actually living.
How do we reach stability? We must respect dialogue and differences actually dominating political scene in our dear Egypt. There is a unique faction which is unaccepted by all… Security and stability require agreeing on constructive solutions for the sake of the country and not for one trend which impose its vision by force and cheating! It is not useful for the country to make an amalgam of religion and politics. Both parts cannot be combined for ensuring stability of the society and running country's civil affairs. Amalgam means not facing problems by reasoning, analysis, acceptance, refusing correct point of view. Let us stop confessional form to achieve ambitions, hopes and stability of the country.
