Negativity and its consequences
We are actually leaving in Egypt disgusting environment and conditions. These unconceivable conditions are the result of the political, cultural and social earthquake, and especially religious, which evolved since the revolt of the 25th pf January 2011.
Astonishment increases, as well as psychic and moral trouble, when we hear and see disgusting examples and experiences affecting our life, including political tension, instability, economic regression resulting of sabotage, sit-in, escape of investors, in addition to religious hysteria and isolation of faith values from life's reality.
I mention some examples we actually live and are announced by media. All these news push us to isolation, passivity and fear of future.
I was astonished when I followed in detail the "sedition of the shirt" which exploded the volcano and confessional repression. It was a banal incident… a Coptic ironer burned the shirt of a Moslem client unintentionally. There was a quarrel and each one of them brought their parents and friends. A battle was launched for a shirt. Some people were wounded and a young man who was passing by was killed. Confessional incidents occurred subsequently with dangerous consequences.
Who meditates the nature of the problem resulting from a "shirt" knows deep dimensions actually characterizing the Egyptians. Without generalizing, violence, religious racism, demonstration of force are the logical way to deal with situations in the Egyptian society. This violence appeared clearly after the election of the responsible for ruling the country!
I mention some examples of violence in the Egyptian society, especially what occurred in various areas on the 4th of July 2012. Cairo and 5 provinces witnessed 9 quarrels leading to death of 7 people and wounding 26 others, among who were a police officer and 2 soldiers, burning 8 apartments, 3 shops and 2 coffee shops, destroying and burning 4 cars. In Alexandria, 3 people were killed and 9 others wounded, among whom a police officer and 2 soldiers, in a quarrel between two families in which both sides used bullets and Molotov, leading to burning 8 apartments, 3 shops, two coffee shops and a car.
In Cairo, a worker in a restaurant of Qasr el Nil was killed after been beaten by a tire shop's owner after a verbal dispute.
A tailor in Abdine was killed by a knife by his brother.
4 unemployed were wounded in a quarrel in an electricity company in Maadi after been attacked by a worker in the company with a knife, due to verbal dispute after power cut.
In Qaliubiya, 13 people were wounded in two quarrels in Kafr Shokr and Shoubra el Kheima. The first incident occurred when a family was opposed to another family which parked its tractor in front of their house. 8 people were wounded. The second incident occurred due to a quarrel for the priority of passing in the street.
In Ismailia, a worker was killed by a bullet due to a quarrel with a mango seller for the priority to sell the harvest.
In Kena, the owner of a coffee shop was killed by a bullet while he intervened to put an end to a quarrel between two drivers.
Violence incidents I reported are only a summary of what occurs every day in our life and in all places in our dear Egypt. This simply shows the moral and behavioral level that we reached. Let us think... how could we behave rationally to face our daily problems?
Where is the law and responsible leaders? Where is humanity and values we are proud of? Where is the sense of fasting and spiritual environment that we live in these moments? All these are questions that make us meditate.
In our daily life in the Egyptian society, we face a sort of cancerous disease, failure, looseness, inhumanity, because with our violent behavior, we limit progress development and relations with others. We became a source of terror. Did we think, after these social and human catastrophes multiplied, what is our concept of dialogue, rationality, moralities, values and religion?
Violence shows we live a kind of schizophrenia. This shows a precocious madness, puberty dementia. Among the main symptoms of this disease is isolation, mental divagation in the world of imagination and illusion, lack of harmony between mood and thought, spiritual laziness, corrupted emotional life, having false beliefs, hallucination, feeling oppressed, pride, supernatural power, and ability to swallow the universe. This psychic disease leads to general disintegration of mental functions.
Who analyzes social and political environment we actually live in Egypt discovers that we really live in a sick and random way. There is no respect for any principles or laws. We live in a violent manner based on vandalism, force, murder, theft, sit-in and obstructing services.
On the other hand, the phenomenon of security chaos in Egyptian street threatens the future of Egypt and may cause falling of economy, especially with weak foreign investments. Foreign investors are afraid of the actual insecurity in the Egyptian street. Some Egyptian businessmen liquidated their business affairs in Egypt and left the country, which is a very dangerous indicator due to firing thousands of workers who may commit criminal actions to bring money for their families. This will increase insecurity. Subsequently, all leaders in the country must be aware of this problem and work to find immediate and fast solution for it.
Many want to leave the country because the human being wishes stability, safety, freedom and job. Let us accept criticism, analysis, sincere dialogue and openness on all what is positive. This the way that pushes to change the human entity. Without respecting and applying all these qualities with whom we were created, our economic, cultural and developmental growth will regress. Let us be in solidarity and live without violence or tension. Let us show our humanity and our human and civilized values.
