No laughing matter,

It is a thing that does matter,

Marion was very old,

She forgot all that she was told,

If she went out alone,

Her son, Sidney, had to find her soon,

Dottie, one of their neighbours,

For lunch on Monday, she prepared lamb meatballs,

Eggplants and also potatoes,

First, Sidney prepared a memory mixture,

That was really a disaster,

Maisy and Banjo were his clever animals,

That forgot everything when they took samples,

His assistant, Alec, instead of putting the mixture away,

He took the next day as a holiday,

He pretended to have pain on his head,

And claimed that he would stay in bed,

He went out and took every tool,

And headed for the primary school,

When he sprayed the mixture in the canteen,

The cooks immediately got insane,

To his surprise, as the head said,

The secretary was walking like a chicken without a head,

Alec headed for the bus garage,

And thought it was a sort of courage,

Bus 11 changed route and went to the countryside,

Whereas bus 52's journey ended up at the seaside,

In the next trick, he spoilt the news broadcast,

And then did the same to the weather forecast,

Sidney, then, called the police,

And later, he called the fire service,

Sorry, Alec had to take the new mixture,

To be used for people in order to remember,

Marion took it, her memory got better,

However, Sidney wanted it a little weaker,

To forget is not less important,

Than remember what you want.
