The second statue of snnmwt with princess nfrwra
<!--<!--
This second statue of snnmwt with princess nfrwra shows him seated with the princess placed on his lap. This statue is considered to be the most appealing example among the several statues that represent them in a variety of attitudes. This is due to the fact that this statue shows us the intimae relation of love and affection between them as it represents the princess resting securely on the lap of her tutor while being surrounded by his arms a position that reminds us of the statuettes of mothers nursing their children. This shows the touching feeling of the tutor towards the princess.
The princess here is represented enveloped by snnmwt’s great hands and rests securely against his upraised knee with her head supported by a small back pillar which may be designed o strengthen this part of the statue.
Nfrwra is wearing a mantale from which only her right hand emerges to touch her mouth in the emblematic gesture of childhood. The side lock of youth hangs down on the right side of her head. To certify her royalty, a ureaus cobra raised its hood at her forehead.
snnmwt is represented with his idealized features especially the flat seemingly lidless almond eyes extended by the cosmetic lines. He is wearing a hair wig with his ears exposed. He is wearing a knee high kilt and over his shoulders there is some kind of garment (shawl) which covers all of his upper body except his right hand and the fingers of the left.
The tow figures seem to have little connection beyond their proximity. He stares straight out over her head. Her little figure facing to his right, gazes forward apparently oblivious to his presence. Their separateness is emphasized by the back pillar behind her head and neck as if he held a statue, not a child. In a sense what he really held was an image: the sigh of his high responsibility and trust. This is further emphasized by the one link connecting the two: his huge flat hands, which hold and shield her small body in a gesture both gentle and firmly protective.
The hieroglyphic inscriptions on the base give more of his titles:
