The remaining from a floor for one of Akhnaten palace
We are infront of what is remaining from the floor of one palace which were belong to king Akhnaten. It was found in Tel Al-Amarna site. It was made out of lime stone covered with stucco.
It was divided to many scenes. One of these scenes represented the
(NW – sign of water in ancient Egypt) which belongs to the water of the River Nile. Beside it represented all the animals and planted which were grown there such as lotus, papyrus, fish, geese ,birds and flowers they are symbols of the Nile and the marches of the Delta.
There was another scene represented the different enemies of Egypt like Nubian and Asiatic and a sympolising for Egyptian enemies as ( the 9 bows).
The outer scene is floral motives with plants.
Most probably this wasn't the big palace for king Akhnaten but it certainly one of the royal palaces of Tel El Amarna once belonged to Akhnaten.
