أستخدام النانوتكنولوجى فى القضاء على الطحالب بالمزرعة السمكية

استطاعت شركة Altair Nanotechnologies  باستخدام مركب نانوشيك NanoCheck ذات جزيئات 40نانومتر مركب بقاعدة لانثانيم lanthanum-based الذي يمتص الفوسفات من الماء و يمنع الطحالب من النمو. و ترى الشركة المصنعة احتمالية طلب هائل من المركب لأستخدامة في المزارع السمكية التجارية على مستوى العالم ، و ذلك للقضاء على الطحالب، نظرا لأرتفع تكلفة التخلص من الطحالب حاليا. و الشركة المصنعة تخطط لأختبار المركب لتأكيد عدم إضرارها للأسماك بالمزرعة المستخدمة له.

 Cleaning Fish Ponds with Nanotechnology Devices

Researchers believe that nanotechnology may have the potential to provide fish ponds that are safe from disease and pollution. One com-pany, Altair Nanotechnologies, makes a water-cleaning product for fish-ponds called  . It uses 40-nanometer particles of a lanthanum-based compound that absorbs phosphates from the water and prevents algae growth. Altair sees a potentially large demand for NanoCheck for use in thousands of commercial fish farms worldwide where algae removal and prevention is costly at present. According to Altair, the company plans to expand its tests to confirm that its nanoparticles will not harm fish.
