In Islam father is responsible for his family;their education,their medical care etc. The ruler is also responsible for all his subjects; he has to provide liberity,all kinds of facilities,job opportunities ,collecting El Zakat from the rich to give it to those who deserve it,Mother is also responsible for caring about her children,her husband and all her home.The servant  should be honest about his master's money and property.So respondibility in Islam is given out on all who are in power whoever in their position  .And as long as you are in .power you have to do your responsibilty perfectly  

                     Narrated Ibn Omar:I heard Allah's Messengerصلى الله عليه وسلم saying

"All of you are guardians and responsible for your  charges; the ruler is a guardian and responsible for his subjects; and a man is a guardian of his family and responsible for his chargess; and a lady is a guardian in her husband's house and responsible for her charges; and a servant is a guardian of his master's property and is responsible for his charge." I think he also said "  "And a man is a guardian of  his father's property."                                                                                      Sahih AlBukhriCh9   Hadith 14
