ِAbstract:
New source of barley mildew resistance was selected from two row barley cultivar baladi. This source was found on 3 of 30 barley seedlings during a screening of more than 30 barley genotypes to mildew resistance inside growth room. The resistance source named H-421 found to be dominant in nature. The deposited conidiospores of mildew causal agent are completely turned brown and dead after 4 days of inoculation while mildew pustules were observed on Numar leaves.
Key words: Barley, powdery mildew, source of resistance.
