The colossal statuary group of Amenhotep III

It was made out of painted lime stone . It was discovered in Medinet Habu.
It was excavated by Mariette 1859. it was dated back to the 18th dynasty, reign of Amenhotep III (1387-1350 BC)
this statury group origenally stood in the temple of Amenhotep III in west Thebes but the temple was destroyed.what remains of which was his 2 colossi of Memnon" .
It shows the king Amenhotep III represented with his royal wife queen Ti at his side and his 3 daughters represented in the side of the throne.
The king and the queen are represented sitting on one throne attached to it a back pillar for protection.
The king: is represented with signs of royality. He is wearing the nms headdress attached to it the cobra, he is wearing the falce royal beard & the royal shndyt.He is represented with both hands opend and flat on his lap as a sign of mercy.
The queen:
Queen Ti was one of the strong lady in ancient Egypt, she almost ruled the country with her husband.
Here she was represented with the same level and scale as her husband to the extent that she appears higher in level by her crown.
The queen is represented sitting on throne while she holding the king as a sign of love .
She is represented weraing hair wig was a sort of headdress started with queen Ti ,which had imitation of winged solar disc attached to the hair wig is 3 cobra the 3rd one is destroyed and this was strang trend to attached 3 cobra not 2.upon the hair wig is a diadem with a royal and floral motives
The queen is represented with one hand opend on her lap while the other one holding the king.
The 3 princesses:
The daughters of the king are 3 princesses are shown on a smaller scale standing before the throne.The one in between is almost wears as her mother. She wearing a tight dress and a simillar hair wig.
The princesses were steped lift leg forward as it was a traditional attitude.
There were traces of color upon the statue but it is almost vanished now.
