Today Kaz and Rasha talk about a new survey , which shows people in Britain are spending longer online than watching TV. The internet search engine giant Google has published results from a new survey, which shows that browsing the internet has overtaken watching TV as Britain's favourite leisure activity. The Guardian headline for this story was: 'Britain turns off - and logs on'. The Google survey shows that the average Britain spends 164 minutes online everyday, compared with 148 minutes watching TV. 164 minutes a day is equivalent to 41 days a year surfing the web. For many years, Britain's national pastime has been television addiction and the British have been called 'a nation of couch potatoes'. BBC Online News use this phrase in their headline for this story: 'Super surfers oust couch potatoes'. How about you?
