Range: Indo-Pacific Ocean: Red Sea to Line Islands, north to Ryukyu Islands, and south Great Barrier Reef
Size: 4.5 inches - 12 cm
Natural Environment: Inhabits coastal and lagoon reefs, including reef faces and fore-slopes, and found in caves and crevices
General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 - 83°F (22 - 28°C) and natural diet consists mainly of small crustaceans and fishes. Easily maintained, yet rarely seen in the trade. Will accept a wide variety of meaty foodstuffs and should have vitamin enriched foods with at least two feeding per day. Their diet should contain a color enhancer, such as Spirulina. Prefers a dimly lit environment with caves. Will be a threat to small fishes and shrimp.
