The quality level of the mathematics textbooks for the (3rd-5th) grades in Palestine in the light of the (NCTM) quality standards.

Abstract: The study aims to reveal the level of quality in the three Palestinian Mathematics Textbooks (3rd-5th) grades in the light of the (NCTM) quality standards.
A questionnaire, containing the required NCTM standards, were prepared for this purpose and is addressed to 110 Mathematic teachers in the fifth grade and 24 supervisors.
Results showed that Mathematics textbooks (3rd -5th grades) lacks most of the NCTM quality standards. That may be attributed to being the mathematic textbooks are under evaluation ( pilot versions). The standards of "numbers and operations" dimension have reached a relatively high level of quality. The relative weight of the availability of "numbers and operations" standards is (85.39%). The other standards did not reach to the required level of quality. They were between (65% - 27%) .
The study included a number of recommendations for future action to achieve an acceptable level of quality in Mathematic textbooks in Palestine.
