The University of Sharjah is pleased to invite you to take part in The Second International Conference on Arabs’ and Muslims’ History of Sciences, which will be held this year under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, and President of the University of Sharjah. The conference is organized jointly with the Arab Union of Astronomy and Space Sciences as part of the scientific and cultural activities that will take place in the Emirate of Sharjah in the year 2014, which was designated as “The City of Sharjah, Cultural Capital of the Muslim World, 2014” The First International Conference on Arabs’ and Muslims’ History of Sciences, which was held on 25-27 March 2007, was very successful, where more that 800 guests and delegates attended the conference; 300 of which presented oral and poster presentations during the conference. Several workshops, special sessions and exhibitions took place during the First conference in addition to cultural, social and tourist events that took place during the first conference. We hope to build on this success to present an even more successful conference. The important dates, which will include the abstract submission deadlines, acceptance notification, hotel accommodation, visas, and early registration will be announced in the conference website, which will be published very soon (www.sharjah.ac.ae/ichs14). We cardinally invite you to take part in this very important scientific and cultural event by submitting your paper or as an attendee. The organizing committee is also accepting workshop and special session proposals.
