allowing this figure to be worn as an amulet
The material gold is precious and easily recycled,
which explains why comparatively few statues survive in this material. It is an appropriate material for the statues of deities because this metal, which shines like the sun, was considered to be the material of which the bodies of the gods were made.

وعقد المحتال والمنشة في يديه عقد ضد الصدر. وترد حلقة إلى الخلف
السماح هذا الرقم لتلبس كتميمة
الذهب المادي ثمين وإعادة تدويرها بسهولة،
وهو ما يفسر لماذا البقاء على قيد الحياة قليلة نسبيا التماثيل في هذه المواد. ومن المواد المناسبة لتماثيل الآلهة لأن هذا المعدن، الذي يضيء مثل الشمس، وتعتبر من المواد التي أجريت على جثث الآلهة.
