An eclpise happens  when the light of the sun or moon disappears completely or in part ( known as total or partial  eclipses).

 A lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth is between the sun and the moon ,and its shadow falls on the moon .A solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes between the sun and the Earth ,and its shadow falls on the Earth.                                                                    

IF YOU want to watch an eclipse ,you must either wear sp ecial protective glasses or watch it on TV.
