Analyse du contenu du manuel scolair au cycle primaire (La srrie farandole) selon Les standards nationaux de L’enseignement du F.L.E en egypre /

Studying and analysis of the scholar books are seen as important field in developing curricular and teaching methods because the scholar book is seen as one of the elements of educational system. It is the tool for achieving curricula aims, and a primary tool in the two processes of instruction and learning as it provides a scientific material and varied experiences.

from this perspective, in the light of the great interest in the scholar curriculum, a great attitude towards the importance of setting norms for achieving the target aims from the scholar curriculum appeared in Arab Republic of Egypt later, so The Ministry of Education co-operated with the concerned institutions. More than 250 persons, including faculties of Education deans, specialized Education professors, the council of people and the council of state members, and a group of councilors interested in education in setting varied norms for the content of every subject matter.

These norms included all the subjects including norms for French education in the pre-university stage. These norms depended on three fields; every field includes a group of norms and a group of indications for them:

1-Core of communication:

It assures the importance of communication in French instruction, and that the target aim of teaching foreign languages and French is to make communication among nations.

2-Core of connection:

It depends on the use of French as a language for social connection and social harmony among students, and preparing them for the following stages of learning it.

3-Core of culture:

It assures the process of providing students a series of cultural skills which provide their ability of recognizing the surrounding environment and developing their relations with other cultures.

Consequently, the task of this study is analyzing the scholar book FARANDOLE series content applied on the languages primary stage schools students in Egypt in the light of the national norms of French language as a foreign language in Egypt.

The problem study can be identified by answering the following two questions:

1- what are the needed skills for the primary stage students in French language?

2- To what extent does the content of the scholar book series “ FARANDOLE ” applied on the language primary stage schools students co-ordinate with the national norms of teaching French language as a foreign language in Egypt?

 AIMS OF THE STUDY :

1- Analyzing the content of the scholar book series “ FARANDOLE ” applied on the language primary stage students in the light of the national norms of teaching French language as a foreign language in Egypt.

2- Identifying the strength and weakness points in the content of the scholar book series Farandole.

3- Identifying to what extent the content co-ordinates with the national norms of teaching French language in Egypt.

 PROCEDURES :

1- Revising the references and reviews related to the study idea concerning the analysis of the scholar books and the national norms of teaching French language.

2- Preparing a list includes a group of the national norms of teaching French language indications of the primary stage in Egypt.

3- Submitting the list to a jury for developing it and identifying the last form of the list.

4- Analyzing the content of the series Farandole in the light of the national norms of teaching French language as a foreign language in Egypt.

5- Processing and interpreting the data statistically.

6- Preparing a suggested unit from the scholar book series in which the norms are achieved.

 RESULTS :

• The results of analyzing the scholar book “FARANDOLE 1” content :

-The percentage of achieving norms of communication field in “FARANDOLE 1” is 58%.

-The percentage of achieving the norms of connection field in “FARANDOLE 1” is 29%.

-The percentage of achieving the norms of culture field in “FARANDOLE 1” is 12.5%.

• The results of analyzing the scholar book “FARANDOLE 2” content :

-The percentage of achieving norms of communication field in “FARANDOLE 2” is 60%.

-The percentage of achieving the norms of connection field in “FARANDOLE 2” is 25%.

-The percentage of achieving the norms of culture field in “FARANDOLE 2” is 16%.

• The results of analyzing the scholar book FARANDOLE series content :

-The percentage of achieving norms of communication field in “FARANDOLE” is 59%.

-The percentage of achieving the norms of connection field in “FARANDOLE” is 27%.

-The percentage of achieving the norms of culture field in “FARANDOLE” is 14%.

 

In the light of the previous results, it is so clear that the most achieved norms in the scholar book series “FARANDOLE” applied on the primary stage students are the ones of communication (59%), while the norms of connection achieved in a medium portion (27%), and the norms of culture appears weekly in a portion of (14%).

In the light of the previous results, the researcher set a suggested unit of the scholar book series “FARANDOLE” units for avoiding some of the existent deficiency aspects
