Abstract:
Two strains of early maturity black barley having extreme earliness were developed. The flowering and maturity of both strains need 65 and 95 days from sowing the seeds while, the local black barley need 120 and 180 days respectively. Moreover, the agronomic traits of these two strains were identical to the local black barley cultivar. In order to improve the mild resistance of these strains along with the early maturity cultivar Noor 68, seeds of F0 between these genotypes and mildew resistance source H-421 were obtained for further studies.
