Pygmalion Effect and You!

In the 1983 Star Wars blockbuster,
“Return of the Jedi,” Luke Skywalker said:

“I’ll never turn to the dark side.
You’ve failed, your highness.
I am a Jedi, like my father before me.”

With that in mind, there’s one caveat
I must make.

Use the following information ONLY
for good!

Do NOT go to the dark side.

Because we DO have extraordinary power,
whether we’re conscious of it or not,
to influence those around us for good
or for ill...

... Including our tutors, teachers and
college mates.

So... let’s take a one-question quiz
about Greek mythology...

Here’s your one-question quiz:

Who was the Greek sculptor who fell in
love with the statue he created?

The poor guy was so enamored with his
creation that Aphrodite, the goddess of
love, took pity on him and breathed
life into the statue.

Then the sculptor and the living statue
got married, had a daughter, etc., etc.

Now to the point.

Who was the sculptor?

His name was Pygmalion and the story
has been repeated in various forms for
years.

The most well-known is the play and
movie, “My Fair Lady.”

But the point for your COLLEGE life is a
phenomenon called, “The Pygmalion Effect.”

“The Pygmalion effect is a psychological
phenomenon wherein high expectations lead
to improved performance in a given area.”

The good news is, there’s high hope in the
Pygmalion effect...

Because the more you focus on your ASSIGNMENTS,
the better results you will get and the more
your mates would love you...

...And the more they'll want to follow you...

OK, now you’ve probably heard of the
experiment where random students were
picked for 2 groups of teachers.

Then one group of teachers were told they
had the gifted-student group, and other
teachers were told they had the average group.

What happened?

After a year, the gifted group had better
grades, higher IQs, learned faster, and
learned more easily.

Why?

Because the higher expectations of the teacher
led to subtle cues that the student picked
up on and created a positive feedback loop...

YOU have the power to do the same thing
with the right team on your side.

We’ve perfected the ways that can help you
achieve the most in the least amount of time....

In other words, we’ll show you how to FLEX
your power over others with positive techniquesand procedure
