The marble statue of Thutmosis III holding the nw jars
<!--<!--
It is another statue for king Thutmosis III in kneeling position or in praying attitude holding two nw jars, but it is made out of marble which is brought from Hatnoub in Upper Egypt and Sinai and also it is smaller in size than the other statue and this was one of the reasons for considering this statue as a masterpiece due to its small size. It represents the king with some signs of royalty as the nms headdress surmounted by the cobra and the Sndyt kilt, but this time there is no representation for the false royal beard. He is represented as the other statue holding the two jars as if making offering in the desert to god Amen-Re.
The image of the king full of youth, gentleness and grace is a miniature replica of his many larger statues, once again incorporating technical competence with an aesthetic concern. The statue was with no doubt offered as an ex-voto in one of the Theban temples. (Statue dedicated to some one or a god). It was most probably stolen and subsequently hidden at Deir El Median behind the west wall of the enclosure of Hathor, the area later became buried in debris from the mountain.
Deir El Madina the place heree the statue was found was the town of the workers of the Theban necropolis
