الجافا اللغة التى تخولك للعب الألعاب على الإنترنت ، الدردشة مع الناسِ حول العالم ، وعرض الصور ثلاثية الابعاد . هذه التطبيقات، مكتوبة في لغة البرمجة الجافا ووصولا الى المتصفح ، تسمى "البرامج المحدودة". تستعمل الشركات برامج جافا المحدودة أيضاً لتطبيقات الإنترنت وحلول الأعمال الإلكترونية الأخرى.
