Modernization through research and development has become inevitable in very segment of modern of life. To cope with the modern development, especially after globalization, every industrial, every industrial segment has been preparing themselves for a transformation. In the process of regeneration every industrial process is equipped with modern devices and gadgets. As an outcome the industrial production has merely doubled with more precision without any .deterioration in quality
Fishing being the pertinent industrial segment generating not merely the essential feed needed for the daily livelihood of oven the poor, but the foreign exchange to the exchequer modernized its crafts and gears. Since harvesting of fish mainly depends upon the nets used for catching, the units manufacturing fishnets in the country had agood opportunity some years ago. But the globalization brought many new foreign marketers to the country and the market of the day becomes a challenging and competitive one especially to Indian small scale manufacturers.
By the time the scare labour market due to poor salary structure aggravated the problem to the local manufacturers. In this scenario the author probed the industry from dawn to dusk in kanyakumari the southern most districts in Indian continent, where the industry blossoms. The analysis substantiated with statistical evidences and tests really kindles the eagerness of the reader to know more on the issue.
The problem focused touches the minds of the entrepreneurs who are engaged in the field. The most appropriate suggestion forwarded in the study consoles them with the expectation that the day for solving their problem is not far away from them.
