- 1Special stained glass paints can be used to paint on glass that are fired into the glass. This technique is for unfired cold color paints not designed for glass.

- 3Prime it with a special primer just for glass. Two coats is ideal.
- 4Mix the paint with a little bit of same color dye. Do not use too much of the dye, it might change the color or consistency of the paint itself. This is what makes the painted surface smooth.
- 5Evenly paint about 3 to 6 coats, making sure the paint on the one layer dries before painting over it. Paint in smooth strokes.
