Technology has become an integral part of society (Bednarz & Audet, 1999; Nellis,1994). School systems have used computer-aided instruction (CAI) since the 1970s. But there have been few studies that examine the effectiveness in learning for students in the social sciences and in particular geography (Swan & Hofer, 2008). This study will examine the effectiveness of using technology in the classroom for a physical geography class at a California State University, Long Beach.
