For a bit of background about Poultry Hub, watch this short video.
This unique presentation of colour transparencies shows the fundamental structure and anatomy of the chicken, as they may be observed during a dissection study.
The colours are intended to aid identification and not to represent the true colours of the organs and parts.
The artwork for this resource was drawn by leading medical illustrator George Schwenk, from dissection specimens prepared by Ward’s Natural Science Establishment.
The development of the digital version of the Anatomy of the Chicken was sponsored by the Australian Poultry CRC.
Originally produced by Merck Chemical Division and Merck Sharp and Dohme International in 1964.
